Japanese Soulless Cover & Timeless Release Date

One quick note: Official Release Date for Timeless, Book the Fifth, is March 1.

In other news my Japanese cover has been released. This is not the manga but the translation of the first book, Soulless.

Your moment of parasol . . .

Gail's Daily Dose
Your Infusion of Cute:
Antiqued Brass Octopus Necklace
Your Tisane of Smart:
A most excellent April's Fools joke all about Victorian fashion.
Your Writerly Tinctures:
Some great answers to the standard Agent query questions

Timeless: Second draft out to second reader.
Secret Project F: It is ALIVE!
Secret Project PPA: Only a twinkle in my little eye.

BIG FAT SPOILER ALERT! Really, DON'T READ THE BLURB ON AMAZON if you haven't read the other books first!

Review Everything says, Soulless was an “easy” read, but in no way talks down to its readers. It is witty, sexy, adventurous, and a great deal of fun. I look forward with great anticipation to the remainder of the series.

Quote of the Day:
"The mere chink of cups and saucers tunes the mind to happy repose."
~ George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft

Oh wow - gorgeous! Might just have to see if I can get a copy just for that.

And I really can't wait until the manga comes out *squee* :D
I'm pondering grabbing a copy just for the cover as well!

Although if the cover were to be released as a poster, I'd be more than happy to grab that instead...
Poster! That would be awesome - though I'll probably just print it out to put on my wall until then :P
The Japanese cover is adorable!

Speaking of manga, have you read the Emma?
No. there's a manga of Emma! Wants it.
It's not based on Austen's Emma. It's a romance set in late Victorian England between a maid and the oldest son of a wealthy merchant family.

The series is by Kaoru Mori. It was licensed in North America and translated into English. I recommend it.
I absolutely LOVED Kaoru Mori's Emma! Have you seen any of the anime, or only read the manga?
I've seen a little bit of the anime. I was in Japan at the time it came out and ironically I didn't watch it because of this. It aired after midnight! (and I needed my beauty rest...)
Victorian Romance Emma is BRILLIANT, I'm so glad someone else knows it :D
I'm surprised more people don't. :)
I love the cover.

Except I keep looking at it and trying to figure out if Alexia's skirt is see-through.

Figured out finally that it was a trick of the light on her skirt. Still looks kinda like legs. Whatever would Lord Akeldama think?!
I was just going to say the opposite. I actually get bothered with how Japanese movie/book translations give an extremely short summary of the story as the title. I think the worst I've seen was what they did with "Up" though.

The cover is still awesome, though :x
Oh wow, that cover is stunning - I especially enjoy Alexia's cheeky grin at the audience while flaunting her bustle. ;-)

That Japanese cover is DARLING! I want one...
OMG I *love* your icon! Katharine Hepburn is fabulous :)
I love the cover! I echo the others in thinking I may have to try and get a copy of it.

I can't even read Japanese and I want a copy of the Japanese translation JUST because of the cover!!
Love the Japanese cover! And completely agree with tasukigirl's recommendation of Victorian Romance Emma. The artwork in the manga is gorgeous, and especially the clothes and the settings.
Darn it! I want the Japanese book now because the cover is so awesome!
Oh wow. There is/could be a manga of Soulless? That is awesome beyond awesome!
I love the parasol picture. ♥
OMG! It's gorgeous! *puts on wishlist* :D

Japanese cover art

Ain't nuthin' but cute, cute, cute.

I do like the sneaky and knowing look the artist gave Alexia.
I`m so excited about the translated Japanese version. I`m going to force all my friends to read it when it comes out. =D

Plus, the translated title is really cool. It literally means: "Lady Alexandria fights vampires in London," or something along those lines.

By the way, it`s totally normal in Japan for non-manga books to have manga-like covers. For example, Twilight (which looks really strange).

I love the Japanese Soulless cover! Now I'm tempted to buy the Japanese version of the book even if I can't read it. I love Alexia's knowing smirk.
I love it!
I don’t usually reply to posts but I will in this case.
