CHANGELESS Book Cover

Japanese Cover Launch: Changeless

Gentle Reader, here is the cover launch for Changeless, the second Parasol Protectorate novel translated into Japanese (not the manga).

I do love their take on the series.

And, just because I feel like it, here is another . . . Heartless teaser!

"Of course, one knew Lord Akeldama must be able to fight. He was rumored to be quite old, and as such, must be at least capable of combat. But this was akin to knowing, academically, that his chubby calico housecat was capable of hunting rats – the actual execution of the task always seemed to Alexia highly improbable and possibly embarrassing for all concerned."
~ Heartless

Quote of the Day:
"A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where a man's mind can get both provocation and privacy."

I love the Japanese covers, and the title is... hm, sounds cute actually. XD
They really did come up with the cutest possible summary!

Also, I like that the artist has proper respect for Lady Alexia's...erm...assets. Yes.
So, this might be a trifle embarrassing to ask, but I'm curious now that I've taken a closer look at the Japanese cover...

...how does one properly pronounce 'Carriger'?

I've always done so with a soft 'g' sound, but the cover uses a hard 'g', and thus my sudden confusion!
Actually it happens all the time. It's the hard g, as in GIR, not carriage.
I can't wait for the next book, I bought a parasol especially for it so I can read in the sun and not burn :)
Your quote is win - now I'm even more desperate for Heartless to come out. (Luckily it's pre-ordered so...)

Also, I <3 Alexia's dress here! I want that dress :D
I got notice today that a copy of Heartless is waiting for me at the library! Hrmmm wonder if I can bribe my housemate to go pick it up for me tomorrow...
Thank you for the teaser, I enjoy it! :-)

Is the Japanese Alexia really wearing earmuffs??
Awesome cover! Can't wait to dig into Heartless!
I love the Japanese covers. I think I'm going to have to get a set in Japanese now...
So dang cool!
i love the japanese covers! :D
I HAVE BOOK!!!*squee* *undignified bounce* *twirl* EEEEEEEEE!!!! *bounce*bounce*bounce*

Other covers

My friend Wen Spencer has a series of books, the first of which is "Tinker". The Japanese cover for that is much more appealing I think than the American cover.

Re: Other covers
