Dragon*Con Sad News

I am sorry to report, Gentle Reader, that I have had to pull out of Dragon*Con this year. I've not taken this decision lightly, but for various personal reasons it has become necessary to withdraw. I'd kindly ask you to respect my wishes and leave it at "various personal reasons." I hope you know me and that I would make every effort to attended if it were at all possible, I feel awful about having to pull out like this and I hope none of my fans are effected unduly. I do hope to make it to Dragon*Con in the future, it just isn't going to happen in 2012.

San Diego Comic Con is still a go and I have some exciting panels and events as well as the super secret swag give away. More details to come soon.

In more exciting news, I have signed on to be a guest at AnomolyCon in Denver next March.

I have updated the Events Listing on my website accordingly.

So sorry to hear you won't make it. :( I hope things get better for you.
I hope all is well. If anyone dares question your decision, refer them to my favorite line: "No is a complete sentence."

Love, love, love the Moore quote and the cat beds!

Be well!

And btw, I finally got around to reading "Marine Biology" and "My Sister's Song"... Happy, happy fan I am! I'm willing to bet that "Marine Biology" could be worked into a smashing full-length book (in your copious spare time, of course... lol).

Seriously, I thoroughly enjoyed both reads. And I learned something - I had no clue about the historical truth in "My Sister's Song"! How cool!
Hooray, i do love being both educational and entertaining. I had great fun with Marine Biology, writing in a contemporary setting = less research!
Hey - hope things are okay for you. I think you have a classy enough fan base that you won't be inundated with unnecessary personal questions.</p>

On a lighter note, I purchased my first loose leaf tea this weekend!

Thank you, I believe you are correct. Good luck with the loose leaf. Speaking of which . . .
Well, that's no good. I hope that whatever caused you to make this decision is resolved in a positive fashion.
Thank you.
Oh dear, I hope you're not doing too badly, and that whatever has caused this decision will resolve itself very quickly. D=
I'm sure everybody will understand, and if not, they're pro~bably werewolves too young to know about manners, a problem their alpha will know what to do about. Consider yourself hugged!
Thank you! Hug is appreciated.
That's sad! But now I don't feel so guilty that I abandoned my Ivy cosplay. I actually may not make it either, everything's up in the air right now.
Good. You shouldn't feel guilty.
I decided that I only really have time to make one costume and it's going to be steampunk Princess Leia. I'm super excited about that one.
I hope your summer goes very well and that by Autumn you are happy, rested, and content.
Ah, you were a deciding factor for me as to whether to go. But I will look forward to you coming in the future.

I've been really interested in knowing if you have a slew of younger fans now reaching out to you because of the manga. Would you, if you have time, blog about that experience and such ?

I might, but the internet makes it impossible to tell the age of people. Until I do another book tour it's hard to know for certain if I gained any younger fans via the manga or if it was mostly existing fans who picked it up. I have notices there are more men in my audience, I think the cover of the Omnibus drew in a few, and husbands and brothers are now getting sucked it, but that's my most recent demographic shift.
*hugs* I hope things get better for you!

oh noes...

I'm so sorry, I'm sure you're disappointed, as well - but I hope everything is ok.

the airship mercy is very disappointed to not be meeting you at drogon con, hopefully we will in the future.

Re: aww

I do apologize, life has interfered.

I'm so disappointed

Please consider coming to Dragon*Con in 2013.
