Poche, Scooper, Popin and Gambit

Look, Gentle Reader, it's the initial French listing for Soulless. How delicious. This answers one of my burning questions. Apparently soulless is poche in French. Of course, we all know I'm going to work that word in as a cookie into Book the Third. How do we know this? Because I'm like that. I'm thinking perhaps the name of a fluffy little dog that drowns horribly in a vat of treacle.

Over on Scooper Speaks my cover is described by Amie Stuart as "Mary Poppins on a bad acid trip!!!!" I have only one thing to say . . . excellent!

I've been interviewed at Popin's Lair - she graciously lets me ramble on about various starts and inspirations – fun fun.

Oh and Gambit is in the new X-Men Movie. And so is Dominic Monaghan. This means I have to see it. Curses.

Web Site Lobbying for Chuck Renewal I missed this band wagon but it's such a good idea I may still do it. “Chuck” fans headed to Subway bought $5 foot-long subs and sent the receipts to execs at NBC on Monday, April 27. The campaign, based on a product placement from an episode several weeks ago, hopes to get the attention of decision makers at NBC and garner the spy dramedy a third season. Chuck is suffering from Tivo Tapping. That is, low ratings because the fan base heavily favors watchers who are tech-savvy and find alternative means to tune in that defy nielson ratings.

The movie is well worth a look. Gambit had a bigger part in it than I thought he would. FYI - there are two extra bits in the credits, so you may want to stick around for them (the second one is kinda lame, and not really worth the extra five minutes).
Thanks for the review. I'll admit I was unsure, nice to know there's more Gambit for my buck.
Gail,

Please know that was a compliment! That cover is just stellar...I ADORE your cover and I'm really looking forward to the book.

And now I sound like an ass-kiss

*sigh*
Oh, of course it's a compliment. I should never have thought otherwise. Absolutely delighted.
Poche??!! WTFWTFWTF? Lol. OK, so I thought "poche" meant "pocket" in French. . . Are you sure it doesn't refer to the fact that it's a pocket book, or what we call a paperback? There's no way that Soulless translates as pocket. . .
huh. Oh, well. Who knows. Still a good name for a pooch destined to die in treacle of doom.
Definitely! Doom to the pooch!
Can't wait to read this. Scooper Speaks
Thanks!
